Stop your dog’s animal chasing — with a step-by-step, reward-based training program
Does your dog:
• chase squirrels, birds, or cats on walks?
• ignore you (and treats) the moment they spot an animal?
• become fixated and pull toward anything that moves?
You’re not alone — and your dog isn’t being “bad.”
Many dogs have a strong prey drive — the natural instinct to find, chase, and catch animals. While completely normal, this instinct can quickly become frustrating or even dangerous in modern environments.
Here’s the solution
Stop Chasing is a practical, step-by-step training guide that shows you how to solve unwanted chasing while working with your dog’s instincts — not against them.
The program is explained through clear written steps, photos, and linked video tutorials so you can confidently follow it with your dog at home.
The goal of this program is simple
Your dog sees an animal…
…and calmly chooses not to chase it.
This is the same system I’ve used with my own dog and training clients to achieve reliable results around animals.
What you’ll learn
✔ how to teach a reliable “leave it” around animals
✔ how to create controlled practice opportunities that build real-life reliability
✔ how to factor in movement, distance, and distractions
✔ how to safely satisfy your dog’s prey drive
✔ how to train voluntary disengagement — where your dog sees an animal and chooses not to chase
A complete, real-world training system
This guide goes beyond basic obedience.
You’ll learn how to combine:
👉 structured training
👉 instinct fulfillment
👉 progressive difficulty
So your dog can go from:
chasing everything that moves → calmly ignoring animals in real-life situations
Why this method works
Many prey drive training methods focus purely on obedience and control.
But when a dog’s instincts aren’t being met, training often falls apart the moment a squirrel appears.
This guide shows you how to combine fulfillment and training so your results actually hold up in real-life situations.
These methods have helped many of my training clients — and my own dog — safely enjoy walks and hikes again, even with dogs that once chased everything that moved.
What’s included
Stop Chasing is an 86-page guide that includes:
• step-by-step written training instructions
• clear photos demonstrating the exercises
• linked video tutorials showing the training in action
Covers both:
✔ outdoor wildlife chasing
✔ indoor animals (such as cats)
Created by a professional dog trainer
This system was developed through:
• personal experience with a high prey drive dog
• years of working with training clients
• real-world testing and refinement

Just adopted a pup - terrier mix - with the highest prey drive I've seen. I have taught Leave It before but am going to use your method. It is the best, and I will follow it religiously.
This guide is presented to well. Easy to follow steps. Advice in when to back up if you e gone too fast. And great and helpful explanations of dog behavior that really solidify the "why" of what we're trying to accomplish. Highly recommend any training instruction by Stephanie (check out her YouTube! It's amazing!).
We are currently working through this program with our 10 month old Welsh Springer Spaniel. We are stuck on "Leave It" using the containers. As soon as we added movement to the "Leave It" command, our boy seems to forget everything he has learned. When we go back to stationary "Leave It" work, he is perfect. We will keep at it but we wish there were a few more "What to do if..." video links to address how to get past points where you can get stuck. Overall, we like the training method and hope we will see some progression soon.
I am new into this program., but already I am seeing improvements in my dog's behavior. What I love best about this program is that it is written for novice dog owners like me. It is so simple and so effective. My girl has a strong prey drive, and while she doesn't go far, I am concerned about the trouble she can get into when she is chasing groundhogs, deer and bear. The real test will be when we "go off leash" and Mr Bear strolls by... but I believe we can do this. I am following the program step by step and not rushing the process. There have been a few side benefits that I have noticed so far as well. My dog is less reactive, calmer and much better around children. Upon reading and learning about unfulfilled prey drive, I believe this program is also going to give me a calmer, well balanced dog and more predictable companion.
I will admit it I wanted a quick fix on my dog’s intense prey drive. But alas if I take a deep breath and practice the techniques this program offers, slowly but surely her behavior is changing.
Patience and repetition are a must.
Thank you
